BioSentinel is a world leader in botulinum neurotoxin detection assays and the application of assays for pharmaceutical, defense, and research purposes. We are looking for an innovative, driven, detail-oriented Lab Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities include a variety of technical and administrative tasks that support the operations of the company laboratories, offices, and customer support functions.

The Lab Coordinator responsibilities:

• Manage lab equipment maintenance, lab inventory (ordering, receiving, and recording), and product inventory.
• Manage vendor contracts/relationships.
• Generate client/customer quotes, communicate follow-ups, and manage customer order intake.
• Manage order fulfillment including shipping documents, courier coordination, accurately shipping finished products, track orders, and order communication.
• Ensure lab readiness and cleanliness by washing labware, wiping down shared benches and spaces, and preparing for lab visits.
• Autoclave and disposal of waste and autoclave tubes according to documented internal procedures.
• Manage the return and replacement process.
• Serve as point of contact for accounts payable inquiries and resolution regarding orders.
• Adhere to applicable industry regulatory compliance requirements.
• Document management including writing and revising protocols for equipment and archiving outdated documents.
• Serve as primary reception of calls to the office.
• Prepare production and lab management notes and presentations for meetings as requested.
• Obtain and maintain certification for dry ice and transportation requirements.
• Serve as a member of the Safety Committee and biennial manufacturing audit team.
• Aid in the assembly of finished products as needed.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related field is required.
• 2+ years’ experience in a laboratory environment is required, preferably in the biotechnology industry.
• Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Ability to solve problems and move an issue to resolution.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently as needed.
• Ability to accurately set priorities and be flexible to adjust as needed to meet internal and external demands.
• Attention to detail skillset with a growth mindset.
• Ability to assist in other areas of BioSentinel as needed to meet business, client, and customer needs.
